About Me
I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I started my career writing technical copy for SEO content mills as a teenager, and I quickly got hooked. In college, I wrote email newsletters for the coding education company Level Up Tutorials and investigated local history questions for Central Ohio's NPR newsroom, WOSU Public Media.
Now, as a sociology PhD student at Harvard University, I'm still writing. My monthly column at Filter Magazine covers the latest scientific studies on harm reduction and overdose prevention. I'm also a freelance writer for Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, where I write interview-driven profiles of notable students and alumni.
Because I just can't get enough, my PhD research also focuses on science communication media, investigating both how it's created and how people respond to it.
